Quality & reliability
All Volkswagens are well made, this is even the case with a dash as different, large & complex as the new Beetle’s. The choice of materials for this is just perfect. All mechanical parts have been used in other VW's, so they are proven and trouble free.
Safety & security
The strength of all VW's relate to their structural integrity, in addition to fantastic standards of assembly. The Beetle was awarded four-star Euro NCAP rating, and includes several great features to ensure vehicle sefety. Security wise, the Beetle has many upgraded security systems from the Golf.
Equipment
The Luna 1.4 & 1.6-litre engines have replaced previous 1.4 & 1.6 models. They now include some great 16" alloys, Electronic Stabilisation Program with ABS + CD player and full electric windows is also included. The head rear lights have been redesigned. The chrome trim has been added to the air vents which add a classy look. All cars in the range include new colours and a wide range of interior fabrics are also available.
Performance
The new and improved Beetle has 1.4-litre, 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre petrol engines. For diesel fans a 1.9-litre turbodiesel is also available. If you would like a more sporty Beetle, go for the turbocharged 1.8-litre, this offers serious punch but at a large price!
