Performance
Eight engines are available for this E220. Buyers get a huge choice. In addition to this, every engine is easily up to the job - its a hard buying decision! The petrol engines start at a supercharged 1.8 go up to monster of a 6.2-litre V8. The diesel engines are quite popular also.
Ride & handling
Modifications to the steering & springs make the E-Class sporty to drive. Its great into corners with hardly any lean. In typical Merc fashion, it places great emphasis on comfort. We found it a joy to drive.

Build quality is excellent. Any previous electrical glitches seem to have been removed.
