Using the same chassis as the C-Class, the CLK covers all surfaces with the same aplomb as the saloon while having a slightly firmer set-up to give it great poise through bends. The steering is improved and is quicker to return to centre, for a more enjoyable drive.

Refinement
If you ever want to cross Europe in 1 day. What car would you use? The CLK would have to be your pick. It cruises motorways with hardly any road or wind sound. The engines are extremely muted when cruising. The V6's may make a pleasing growl when pushed, but it stil sounds great. The five-speed automatic gearbox also works well.
