. Performance
The wide range of engines on offer include a 113bhp 1.6 & 2.0 petrol, 1.6 & 2.0-litre turbodiesel. All engines provide good acceleration, the diesels especially. We found the CVT gearbox can reduce the 1.6 diesel performance slightly.

Ride & handling
The Ford Focus has a firm low speed. At higher speeds the ride quality is great. We feel the excellent handling helps put the Focus back on top as its class leader.
