Performance
There is a very wide range of engines. These range from a 98bhp 1.6, 142bhp 2.0 petrol, 1.6, 2.0-litre turbodiesel. The diesel engines are very keen to rev providing great acceleration. The optional CVT auto gearbox can reduce performance very slightly.
Ride & handling
Sports suspension is a standard fit on the Zetec speciation. However for the Titanium model this is an optional extra. The steering has a nice feel and is accurate & informative.
Quality & reliability
The Focus is well screwed together. Ford has a good record for reliability. There is nothing to suggest that owners will have any issues
Equipment
All Focus models include electric front windows, height adjustable driver seat + 60/40 splitting rear seats. Entry level Studio models come with little equipment - we advise not to pick this model as it ias basic. The Style adds air-con & remote audio controler. We highly recomend the Zetec model for great value for money, this includes: alloys & sports suspension. Electric rear windows and automatic lights + wipers come fitted on the Titanum trim.
