Behind the wheel
Citroen Berlingo drivers will find a handy height-adjustable steering wheel, electric door mirrors, power steering, electric windows. It is very easy to find a comfortable driving position. Visibility, in general, is very good. There is also an overhead storage shelf located above the windscreen. As well as some hnady storage in the dashboard.
On the Road
The diesel Berlingos are 1.9D or 90bhp turbodiesel 2.0HDi. There is also a 75bhp 1.4-litre petrol version however not as popular. Both diesel engines are hard-working and will have no problem pulling the van and its cargo. All engines are also nicely refined & seem quite happy on the motorway at 70mph. The van steers very neatly with little body roll. The fitted brakes also work well. Customers can also choose the Berlingo XTR+, which is a semi-off-road version of the van. It comes with raised suspension (increased by 40mm), and a limited-slip differential on the front axle + mud and snow tyres as standard. This is aimed at people who need some off-road capability. The XTR+ is very capably off road if you need a van that can cope with the occasional rock-strewn track and muddy field.
Overview
The new Berlingo was good enough to continue the success of the first model and yet still maintains a healthy position within the market place, close to the cleverer Transit Connect & the Vauxhall Combo. The strong diesels and petrol option means the Berlingo has the needs of nearly all users covered, as well as a handy car-like Enterprise model. This model includes dark windows. The XTR+ model which has a raised suspension, limited slip differential on the front axle + mud and snow tyres fitted as standard. It is also aimed at users who a little some off-road ability
