| TT Coupe 2Dr 2.0T FSi 200t Review |
This is an original & impartial Audi - TT Coupe 2Dr 2.0T FSi 200t review, compiled by the team at car contract hire online
.
Performance
There are two engines for the TT: a 197bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, and 247bhp 3.2-litre V6. They both use six-speed manual gearboxes, and both are available with an great six-speed, S Tronic direct-shift gearbox, which performs almost like an automatic car. The 3.2-litre V6 has strong and smooth feel, however the 2.0-litre is the gem - its free-revving engine delivers brisk performance, but still extremely flexible in town.
Ride & handling
The Audi TT ride is firm at low speeds, but body control is great; you can turn into corners is pin-sharp with bags of grip. For those on a budget is that the lighter, front-wheel-drive 2.0-litre version, this feels more alert and more fun than the more expensive model - bit of a shock!
Quality & reliability
The Audi TT has good levels of reliability, the materials used in its construction are first-rate. This follows the previous TT performed well in WhatCar? tests
Behind the wheel
The overall look behind the wheel of the TT is cohesive and attractive. The flat-bottomed sports steering wheel are designed really well, all controls work efficiently. The driving position is also excellent, both short and tall people will be able to find a good driving position.
